My Education and Licensure
EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE
I received my Masters of Science in 2013 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in Marriage and Family Therapy (a COAMFTE accredited program). This program is 2.5 years long including courses and student internship. I also received my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from UNLV in 2010.
LICENSURE
I am licensed with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and a Board Approved Supervisor. I am also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington State by the Department of Health.
CONTINUING EDUCATION
In this profession, continuing education is very important, as we are never done learning. Under our licensing board, therapists and counselors are required to have CE credits every year. I absolutely love attending various conferences and workshops, both online and in person. If you want to know what conferences or trainings I have attended, just let me know! I'm happy to answer these questions. Through teaching graduate students, they have also taught me so much and I continue to happily learn from my colleagues, supervisees, and clients.
