I'm Gianna. Hello! I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and have been in Portland since the beginning of 2015 (although I planned that move for a few years). I am here with my husband (together since 2006) and our dog Guinness, an awesome shelter dog who knows how adorable he is. We are a very eco-friendly family, in both personal and work life.

I am also an Adjunct Professor at both Portland State University in the graduate and undergraduate programs, and at the University of Portland, having taught "Families and Society", "Interventions with Children and Youth",  "Human Sexuality", and more.

I am also the President of the Oregon Counseling Association, a branch of the American Counseling Association, and the Lead Counselor for Clear Transitions PDX, a workshop for low income women going through divorce.

I enjoy trying new places to eat, finding live music lounges (jazz is a favorite), baking, watercoloring, reading, and spending time at the Oregon coast. I think self care is important for my clients as well as for myself, so I very much enjoy time with family, friends, and sometimes just by myself... even if it is watching Netflix (Leslie Knope from "Parks and Recreation" is my soul sister).
